Northwest Pizza Boardwalk Bread n Bagel is now owned by Ron & Cyndi Burnard and opened its doors in 1999 as a 110 seat pizza and sandwich restaurant in Brainerd, MN. Then owners Tom and Beth Perttula were excited to bring a bagel cafe and specialty pizza restaurant to the Brainerd Lakes Area. One of the first things you notice as you walk in to the restaurant is a sign reading "Ihana Paiva!" which translates to "What a lovely day!" in Finnish. We are proud of our Finnish heritage, but the sign also sets the mood for your experience each day. The building is home to four different food businesses:

• A traditional restaurant with spacious tables and booths. Host a meeting or bring in the family. We offer kids a chance to win free stuff when entering a drawing contest with weekly winners.
• A New York style delicatessen where fresh bakery goods win numerous awards every year from local reviewers such as the Lake Country Journal.
• A bakery where fresh breads and bagels are prepared for you daily. Mary Etta's pies are also sold here. These pies are unique to the Brainerd area.
• A premier casual luncheon-type catering service .

The comfortable restaurant area features spacious tables as well as booths. This flexible floor plan allows for get-togethers of all sizes. Simply come on in and make your own arrangement. Or call ahead and we will prepare a table design for your group.
 
The first thing you'll notice is the spacious layout and design. Our restaurant always seems to have plenty of room, even if the parking lot looks full. You can choose to sit in the dining room: at a table or booth. You can opt for a deli-style atmosphere, if you wish, featuring high tables and chairs, as well as traditional tables with chairs. 

Where ever you sit, you'll enjoy the friendly ambience and clean pleasant surroundings that have folks coming back - and bringing others with them.  

This is a self-service establishment. You come up to the ordering area where a friendly staff person will take your order. VISA, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted here.
